Measurement of creep rate sensitivity of microcasting at room temperature by using nanoindentation

摘要
The strain rate sensitivity of creep (m) of ZnAl4 alloy microcasting at room temperature was measured with the nanoindentation creep test combined the constant loading rate/load (const.(P) over dot/P) and the constant load test (const.P). The results show that the average values of m obtained in different positions of microcasting are nearly identical, and irrelevant to grain size of microcating, for example, the m values of tooth tip and root are 0.0958 and 0.0879, respectively. It is also found that the average values of m obtained in the same position with different constants (P) over dot/P are also nearly identical.
