Intramolecular anodic olefin coupling reactions have been used to construct both bicyclo[3.2.1]octane and bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane ring systems. The effect of substituents on the stereochemistry about the newly generated carbon-carbon bond was examined. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
