Brillouin scattering spectroscopy in single crystal LiIO3

摘要
alpha -LiIO3 crystal is grown by the constant temperature evaporation method. Brillouin scattering experiment is carried out to study the elastic properties of the crystal alpha -LiIO3. We obtain all of six elastic constants of the crystal alpha -LiIO3 by using two cubic samples. As a result the obtained elastic constants are similar to the others' results(13) and are as follows, C-11=83.4x10(9), C-12=32.6x10(9), C-13=25.7x10(9), C-33=72.7x10(9), C-44=31.4x10(9), C-66=25.4x10(9) (the unit is N/m(2)). From the obtained elastic constants it is possible to constructslowness curves.
