摘要：
Novel N-6-coordinated Ir(iii) complexes bearing polypyridyl ligands were synthesized and characterized. In comparison to their Ru(ii) analogs, these Ir(iii) complexes showed blue-shifted UV-vis absorption and emission spectra, but dramatically increased triplet lifetimes with much broader and stronger triplet excited-state absorption.
