摘要
The aim of this work was to produce alumina-zirconia nanopowder through the gel-net method at low temperature. The monomers acrylamide, N, N'-methylene-bis-acrylamide, persulphates and N,N,N',N'-tetra methyl ethyl diamine were used. The resultant network trapped and coordinated particles so that inhibited aggregation of Al2O3-ZrO2, improved homogeneity, decreased agglomeration and produced narrow particle size distribution of nanopowders. Complex formation between monomer and metal ions was investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Particle morphology and phase transformation during heat treatment were studied by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction, respectively. The nanopowders have spherical shape with particle sizes between 40 and 70 nm.
