摘要：

A thermomechanical description of the concepts, definitions and the scope of the study of aromaticity and antiaromaticity of organic compounds was presented. The discussion included examination of the enthalpies of formation of the combustion, hydrogenation and phase changes of neutral, π-conjugated, carbocyclic systems and some of their alkylated and arylated derivatives. The compounds were synthesized, isolated and characterized by their spectra, melting points and thermomechanical data.
