FILM AND PHILOSOPHY IN HIGH SCHOOL TEACHING. AN EXAMPLE

The article comes back to the problem over the connection between movie and philosophical thought, recognizing legitimacy to the educational use of movie. At the beginning it's underlined the strict and necessary bond between image and word as well as the deep communication possibilities that movie has, mainly for his synesthetic imagery that allow the dialectic balance between mind and emotion. In the second part, an example of frontal lesson in classroom is shown: the students focus on the 17th-18th century debate on Liberty, Highest Good and Happiness, beginning from the viewing of "Royal Affair" movie, and they try to virtually be embodied in the main characters' existence.
