摘要
The uniaxial natural fabric Hildegardia populifolia was coated with polycarbonate/polymethyl methacrylate blend and its tensile strength, modulus and percentage of elongation at break were determined. The effect of alkali treatment on the tensile properties of the fabric was also studied. The tensile properties were enhanced by alkali treatment. The morphology of the fabric before and after coating was studied by microscopic technique.
