摘要
We make three assumptions: fast radio bursts (FRBs) are produced by neutron stars at cosmological distances; FRB rate tracks the core- collapse supernova rate; and all FRBs repeat with a universal energy distribution function (EDF) d(N)Over dot / dE proportional to E-beta with a cutoff at burst energy E-max. We then find that observations so far are consistent with a universal EDF with 1.5 less than or similar to beta less than or similar to 2.2, high-end cutoff E-max/E-0 greater than or similar to 30 and normalization. N-0 less than or similar to 2 d(-1); where. N 0 is the integrated rate above the reference energy E-0 similar or equal to 1.2 x 10(39)f(r)(-1) erg (f(r) is the radio emission efficiency). Implications of such an EDF are discussed.
