Quark-hadron duality in proton and neutron F2 structure functions

I present a summary of recent studies of quark-hadron duality in the proton and neutron F-2 structure functions which highlight the possibility of using averaged resonance region data to constrain parton distribution functions in the kinematic region of high Bjorken x where, presently, few experimental constraints exist. A recent extraction of the neutron F-2(n) structure function from proton and deuterium data in the resonance region is also discussed.
