摘要
Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) uses a pair of electrodes to artificially stimulate skeletal muscles and produce movement in cases like stroke or spinal cord injury where nerve supply is lost due to disease or damage. For effective stimulation, the electrodes have to be placed over the appropriate area on the skin and should be fixed firmly. We present an electrode fore-arm and wrist band which uses an insulating layer, a conductive cloth layer and a thin layer of conductive gel, which can make positioning of electrodes easy, can easily connect to the stimulator and provide stimulation comparable to the hydrogel electrodes.
