摘要
The Tomakomai CCS demonstration project is currently being undertaken by the Japanese government in Tomakomai City, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan. The project is scheduled to run between the period of JFY(()*()) 2012 - 2020 to demonstrate the viability of a full chain CCS system, from CO2 capture to injection and storage. One hundred thousand tonnes per year or more of CO2 derived from an industrial source will be injected and stored in saline aquifers under the seabed in the offshore area of Tomakomai Port. CO2 injection began in April 2016. This paper outlines the demonstration plan and reviews the progress of the project.
