摘要：
Combined EXAFS/powder neutron diffraction analysis provides an excellent means of detecting local lattice distortions in metal oxide structures. Progress in modelling such distortions in perovskites is reported using the examples of La6.4Ca1.6CU7CoO20 and LaGa.5Co.5O3. Studies of some other oxide structures. La6.4Ca1.6Cu6Ni2O20 and La8Ni4Co4O20, are also briefly reported.
