摘要
Mesoporous spherical gamma-Al2O3 particles were prepared by spray pyrolysis of commercial boehmite without the use of templating materials. Before spray pyrolysis, a boehmite slurry was prepared through thermal acid treatment of commercial boehmite with various concentrations of HNO3. The spray pyrolysis process produced spherical gamma-Al2O3 particles with a size of 1 mu m regardless of the pretreatment conditions. However, the dominant pore size of the produced gamma-Al2O3 particles shifted from 35 nm to 3.5 nm when the molar ratio of [HNO3]/[AlOOH] increased from 0.06 to 0.24 during thermal acid treatment.
