摘要:
A series of labdanes and their derivatives have been identified as novel potential antileishmanial drugs using in vitro tests against extracellular promastigotes and intracellular amastigotes of Leishmania donovani parasites in murine macrophages. The compounds showed to be active at concentrations in the microgram range. To confirm pharmacological safety, all compounds were tested against four mammalian cell lines (squamous carcinoma (KB), melanoma (SK-Mel), lung carcinoma (A 549) and mamma carcinoma (MDA)) and murine bone marrow-derived macrophage cultures. The structure-activity-relationship of labdanes and related compounds is discussed.
