摘要
Previous studies have shown that both, HD 101584 (F0-F2 Iape) and HD3980I or alpha Ori (M2 lab-a) are stars that have a variable radial velocity. The length of time scale between the observations analyzed in the present study and others obtained previously for these stars, could confirm if these variations favor definitely one of the periods of the radial velocity reported previously. In fact, through the identification of 674 photospheric lines in the high resolution spectrum of HD 39801, the calculated radial velocity is (22.3 +/- 0.2) km/s. This result favors the long term period (5.78 years) previously reported for this star. On the other hand, through the analysis of two different high resolution spectra taken in separate dates and the identification of 271 and 318 photospheric lines, the radial velocities calculated are (19.5 +/- 0.1) km/s and (41.2 +/- 0.1) km/s, respectively. These results favor the period of 3.5 years. Analyses of the behavior of the strongest spectral lines confirm the presence of turbulent and strong atmospheric movements in both stars.
