Combining N,S-Codoped C and CeO2: A Unique Hinge-like Structure for Efficient Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution

摘要
N- and S-doped C-encapsulated CeO2 with a hinge-like nanostructure (CeO2@N,S-C HN) has been obtained by using a Ce-based metal-organic framework (Ce-MOF-808) as a precursor. Due to the synergistic effects of its special structure and N,S-doped C layer, CeO2@N,S-C HN exhibits high activity of photocatalytic hydrogen (H-2) evolution. Density functional calculations are used to obtain a fundamental understanding of the high H-2 production rate of CeO2@N,S-C HN.
