摘要
In this study, a technique for the computational simulation of hypertrophy of the inferior rectus muscle, which is one of the main causes of proptosis in patients with thyroid eye disease, was proposed, and the locations with the estimated maximum stress from the computational simulation results were examined and compared with the clinical and surgical locations. A series of simulations of hypertrophy of the inferior rectus muscle was performed using single and combined loads. The behavior of the inferior rectus muscle, the eye rotation, and proptosis according to the loading condition were examined, and optimal loading conditions have been suggested for the simulation of hypertrophy of the inferior rectus muscle. In addition, the supplementary data to be considered during the selection of the surgical location and range have been provided.
