摘要：

Due to the demographic change in this aging society, the risk of cerebrovascular insults has increased in recent years by approximately 10%. In 2019 stroke had an incidence of 260,000 cases and is currently the third most frequent cause of death in Germany. In emergency management early symptom recognition and neurological examination are essential to enable the rapid transfer of patients to stroke units for further diagnostics and treatment. Time is brain-the earlier thrombolysis can be carried out, the more pronounced is the brain-protective effect in cases of vascular occlusion.
