摘要
The Gd2(MoO4)3 doped with Eu3+ phosphors are interesting red light emitting phosphors used for solid state lighting applications due to high chemical and structural stability. In present work, we report the Gd2-x Eu x(MoO4)3 (x = 0.01-0.09) phosphors synthesized by the conventional solid-state method. The Rietveld refinement results confirms that all the compounds were crystallized under monoclinic system with space group C2/c. Scanning electron microscope reveals sphere like morphology of particles. The PL excitation spectrum reveals the Gd2-xEux(MoO4)3 (x = 0.01-0.09) phosphors can be excited using UV blue radiation which leads to red emission at kexc= 454 nm. The Concentration quenching takes place above Gd2-x(MoO4)3: xEu3+ (x = 0.05) phosphor due to multipole-multipole interaction confirmed by the calculated critical distance. Further, the CIE results shows Eu3+ doped Gd2(MoO4)3 can be promising candidate for red phosphor materials for WLEDs. CO 2021 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
