摘要
Japanese media industry has developed rapidly after World War II. In the 1970 s animation industry which regulation was loose relatively developed rapidly, formed relatively mature system and large scale, which played a significant role for stimulating Japanese economic growth. The article discusses the role of institutional transformation in Japanese animation industry rising from the perspective of new institutional economics through the analysis on the rising of Japanese animation industry and the process of institutional transformation. Japanese animation industry has experienced the process which is from the strict regulation to both regulation and deregulation and then to further deregulation. The institutional transformation is induced institutional transformation as the leading factor and mandatory institutional transformation as the auxiliary, which promotes the rising of the Japanese animation industry.
