The previously unknown male of Dorsipes auncinius Husband, 2000 is described from specimens collected from Tefflus sp. (Coleoptera: Carabidae) in Kenya. Females and larvae are compared with the type specimens collected from Tefflus zebulianus reichardi Kolbe in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
