A novel green-emitting phosphor BaZnP2O7:Tb3+ or white LEDs and the influence of doping Ce3+

摘要
The BaZnP2O7:Tb3+ phosphor was synthesized by high temperature solid state reaction and an efficient green emission under near-ultraviolet was observed. The X-ray diffraction pattern indicates that pure BaZnP2O7:Tb3+ phosphor was obtained. The emission spectrum shows the most intense peak is located at 547 nm, which corresponds to the D-5(4)-> F-7(5) transition of Tb3+. The excitation spectrum is extending from 300 to 400 nm, which is coupled well with the emission of UV LED (370-420 nm). The BaZnP2O7:Tb3+ is a potential green-emitting phosphor for white LEDs. The BaZnP2O7 doped with Ce3+ or double doped with Tb3+ and Ce3+ were also prepared and the effect of co-doped Ce3+ on the emission intensity of BaZnP2O7:Tb3+ phosphor was investigated.
