摘要
The article presents experimental information concerning variations of structural and mechanical parameters of polyethylene membrane in punch deformation. Disc shaped specimens were loaded by spherical and cylindrical punches until puncture or intermediate deflection height. The variations of friction force in the contact zone "specimen-punch" were achieved by punch lubrication and by applying punches of different material (steel, ceramic, glass, and plastics). The investigations of polyethylene membrane behaviour were based on the variation of punching forces, general and local strains, membrane thickness and material structure. The structure state of PE membrane was evaluated by the changes of its crystal phase determined by the X-ray diffraction method. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
