Thermal transport in densified amorphous solids

摘要：
The thermal conductivity and specific heat of a densified a-SiO2 and a densified SC-8 epoxy resin have been measured from 15 K to room temperature. The thermal conductivity of the densified a-SiO2 appears to be temperature-independent from the lowest temperature measured to about 60 K. The thermal conductivity of SC-8 shows a temperature independent range from 30 K to about 60 K. The specific heat of the densified a-SiO2 is lower than that of the undensified one at temperature below 60 K.
