摘要
Friction stir welding (FSW) is conducted for 5052-H112 aluminum alloy. The stress-strain curves of joint and base metal (BM) in air and NaCl aqueous solution with different concentration were tested by using slow strain rate tension (SSRT) tester. The effects of chloride ions (Cl) concentration on corrosion behaviors of joint and BM were also studied by using single cycle polarization and immersion measurements. Results showed that the BM is more susceptible to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in NaCl aqueous solution with a high concentration. However, for the joint, this trend was opposite. The different trends may be caused by the formation of (001) and (110) texture components in the joint during the FSW operation.
