摘要
The single-site umbilical laparoscopic approach to abdominal surgery has become an evolving trend over the past few years. These operations have some technical limitations attributable to the loss of instrument triangulation, crowding of instruments, loss of ergonomic movements, and the fact that the view of the telescope/camera is in-line with the working instruments. However, because the size of the umbilical incision is determined by the size of the lesion or segment of bowel being resected during a traditional laparoscopic bowel resection, these operations are perhaps the most suited procedures for this approach. In this review, the techniques and applications for single-site umbilical laparoscopic bowel resection in children will be discussed. (C) 2011 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
