Psychiatry of old age represents the part of psychiatry with the closest links to the rest of somatic medicine. Several central diagnostic and therapeutic topics with growing importance are summarized in the volume: dependence, delirium, Parkinson's, dementia with Lewy-bodies, non-cognitive symptoms in Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal degeneration, systemic therapy and liaison psychiatry.
