The capacity of a circle metro line is studied by means of computer simulation experiments. The analysis is carried out on the basis of the train motion model with stochastic disturbances and random passenger traffic. The automatic control of trains is based on a given speed profile and the signaling system equipped with a set of passage sensors. Recommendations for choosing the number of trains and sensors are developed depending on two performance indices: the total transported weight and the average idle period of trains.
