摘要
Drill core samples from stratabound sediment-hosted copper mineralisation of the German Kupferschiefer have been analysed for their content of precious metals (Au plus PGE). The results show a systematic metal zonation, in which the maximum contents of Au and PGE are situated adjacent (below) the copper maximum. The mineralisation is cross-cutting the strata and shows similarities with the mineralisation of the Polish Kupferschiefer deposits. High Au values show regional clusters, which might reflect a local basement influence. Absolute contents of the precious metals in the German Kupferschiefer deposits are significantly lower, compared to the Polish deposits, which might reflect different source rocks for the mineralisation.
