EVALUATION OF A PREVENTION PROGRAM AGAINST CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE IN THE ALEJANDRO RAFAEL MERA EDUCATIONAL UNIT

This article was conducted at the Alejandro Rafael Mera Educational Unit, with the objective of evaluating and implementing a program aimed at teachers and parents for the prevention of sexual abuse in children of this institution. Information gathering techniques such as interviews, documentary review, brainstorming and the use of the multi-criteria decision methodology were used. The program aimed at teachers, tutors and students for the prevention of sexual abuse in children and adolescents was implemented. The application of the prevention plan analyzed allowed an increase in the levels of knowledge of teachers and students, so that with its application there is a capacity to identify a child who has been a victim of sexual abuse. The levels of satisfaction of parents and teachers with the analyzed program were determined, as well as the most influential elements in the support of the adults involved in the analyzed program. The study demonstrates the importance of implementing prevention programs to contribute to the knowledge of the community in general to prevent child sexual abuse.
