摘要
Endovascular repair of aortic aneurysm (EVAR) is a well-established minimally invasive method used to treat both thoracic and abdominal aortic pathologic conditions. Currently, EVAR accounts for almost 50% of all aortic aneurysm repairs performed in patients with aortic pathologic conditions in the United States.1 Cumulative data show that the safety profile of EVAR is improving, and it is comparable to open surgical repair with lower perioperative morbidity and hospital length of stay.2 However, many complications and challenges have arisen with more utilization of EVAR. Complications related to EVAR can be categorized as device related or systemic. Devicerelated complications include endoleaks, endograft migration, endograft infection, limb kinking or occlusion, and endograft collapse. Systemic complications include organ ischemia, postimplantation syndrome, and cerebrovascular events.
