摘要
This research focuses on the implementation of a sustainable management model based on circular economy for the treatment and use of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic in ecotourism services. Thus, we address the need for a management model that can be implemented into a pre-established scenario such as the Pachacamac district located in Lima, Peru. We decided to create this model because the aforementioned district has certain ecotourism characteristics; moreover, there are no such models at present in this Peruvian district. This is an adaptable and flexible model depending on the proposed scenario, as it makes use of the three stages of waste management and is supported by the Lean Six Sigma methodology and circular economy. Furthermore, it is a comprehensive model because it is based on dimensions such as the environmental culture, the social dimension, and the economic dimension. The model was implemented in three different scenarios in the Pachacamac district in Lima, Peru. In conclusion, the proper management of the three model approaches generates a highly positive economic and environmental impact, and it brings benefits to both the population and its resources.
