摘要
The article deals with the question of what optimization means in the context of early childhood research and how it can be recognized in research practice. Specifically, it is about the determination of (supplementary) research ethical standards as a quality feature of "optimal" empirical social research in the context of research projects in childcare centers. The results of the project "Research meets kindergarten" are used to identify and describe the optimization problem based on the critical assessments of educational staff and heads in the Germany-wide online survey (N = 1,200) on research in daycare centers.
