摘要:
Use of laparoscopy in appendectomy is debated. An experience with 21 cases of laparoscopic treatment of peritonitis from acute appendicitis is presented. Mean age was 44.9 years. The peritonitis was diffuse in 12 cases and localized in 8. Mean operative time was 70 minutes. Convertion was necessary in one case. Complications amout to 4 cases of postoperative fever and 2 cases of paralitic ileus. No wound infection and no abscess occurred. Mean hospitalization amount to 4 days. Compared to patients undergoing laparotomy, the laparoscopic treatment of peritonitis from acute appendicitis allows reduced surgical trauma, less complications and short hospitalization.
