Present status of middleware technology and its relation with grid computing

摘要
Middleware is vital to distributed computing and system integration in terms of hiding the complexities of the underlying networked environments and disposing the heterogeneities of platforms. The middleware concept and its application circumstances are expounded in this article. Various types of middleware solutions and the emerging techniques and approaches are also surveyed. Finally, a new distributed computing paradigm, Grid, is discussed.
