摘要
Spiral waves of electrical excitation appear in many physical, chemical and biological active media, and it is especially important to study spiral waves in the myocardium because they arise only in dangerous arrhythmias and therefore must be eliminated. It is known that spiral waves disappear when moving toward the medium boundary. Inducing spiral waves to drift towards the boundary is one of the promising strategies to treat cardiac arrhythmias. In this paper, we simulated the dynamics of spiral waves on an isotropic square using phenomenological models of cardiac muscle cells. External stimulation was implemented by the application of a stimulating current from point and linear electrodes. The trajectories of spiral wave drift were found, and the elimination of self-sustaining waves via induced drift toward the boundary of the medium was observed.
