摘要
Previous studies have focused on creep damage evolution behavior of components with one isolated notch, but two or more notches may be placed at the components due to the function requirements, the limitation of the structural size, or may be induced by chemical/physical damage processes. In this work, numerical analyses and creep tests on creep damage and interaction behaviors of neighboring notches in components under creep conditions are investigated. Effects of structural configurations on creep damage and interaction behavior are discussed. Results indicate that the notch still indicates a strengthening effect on rupture life of components despite the interaction behavior of the two adjacent notches. A negative interaction effect on rupture life of components with two notches is found. Creep damage and interaction behaviors of the components with two neighboring notches of various distance values are related to structural configurations of the components, including notch acuity ratio, notch open angle and notch depth.
