摘要
Haynes (R) 282 (R) is a newly developed wrought gamma prime strengthened nickel-based superalloy, introduced as a direct response for the existed limitations of Inconel 718 and Waspaloy in terms of gas-turbine applications. The mechanical response of the alloy is controlled by either a cold straining processing in solid solution annealed state, as well as through a post-deformation heat treatment. Since, there is a number of works on the effect of aging parameters on the low and high temperature strength of Haynes (R) 282 (R) superalloy, very limited information is available on the microstructure, crystallographic texture and mechanical properties evolution upon the applied cold deformation step. In this work, Haynes (R) 282 (R) superalloy provided in the solid-solution annealed state was subjected to the cold rolling processing up to 70% of thickness reduction. The SEM/EBSD and TEM methods were applied to examine a strain-induced structural evolution of the material, while mechanical characteristics were evaluated in microhardness measurements and static tensile tests carried out by using non-standard miniaturized specimens.
