Low temperature mechanical characterization of polymer modified recycled asphalt mixture via indirect tensile test

摘要
Low temperature mechanical property of polymer modified recycled asphalt mixture was analyzed in this paper using low temperature indirect tensile test (IDT). It is indicated from the analysis of the test results that the indirect tensile strength and failure stiffness modulus show significant increase with RAP percentages, especially in high loading speed. Polymer modified recycled asphalt mixture with recycling agent shows high fracture energy, which can prevent crack propagation. It can be concluded that the IDT provides information of the influences of RAP and recycling agent to the polymer modified recycled asphalt mixture.
