As an important second messenger in cell, calcium ions can regulate various cellular processes by the way of oscillation. Variety of information or signals in cells are encoded by frequency and amplitude of calcium oscillation. In present paper, we focus on an influx channel, called store-operated calcium entry channel (SOCE for short), and establish a new model to describe the calcium exchanges and interactions between different stores. By employing bifurcation analysis on the model, change laws of the amplitude and period of oscillation, with varying the maximum capacity of SOCE, is obtained. Then we select other four important parameters to perform simulation separately, and discuss the influences on the amplitude and period of oscillation. Based on intensive quantitative and qualitative analysis, we conclude that SOCE plays a key role in calcium oscillation system. (C) 2017 The Physical Society of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
