Corrosion and Hydrogenation of 09G2S Steel in Hydrogen-Sulfide Media at Elevated Temperatures and Pressures

摘要
We study the influence of the partial pressure of hydrogen sulfide (1-5 atm) and temperature (25-120A degrees C) on the corrosion behavior of 09G2S steel in model seawater and the degree of its hydrogenation. It is shown that the increase in the partial pressure of hydrogen sulfide (p (H2S)) up to 5 atm at 80A degrees C leads to an increase in the corrosion rate of steel by almost an order of magnitude. It is shown that, for p (H2S) = 1-5 atm, hydrogen sulfide promotes the hydrogenation of steel. In this case, the amount of diffusion-mobile hydrogen is 3.5-3.7 times smaller than the amount of hydrogen with a higher energy of bonding with the metal. It is established that, the increase in temperature from 25 up to 120A degrees C leads to a decrease in the corrosion rate of steel in model seawater for p (H2S) = 1 atm by a factor of similar to 6-8, whereas the degree of hydrogenation becomes 2.8-4.1 times larger.
