摘要
An effective robust image coding method is proposed for image transmission over lossy packet networks. In this method, interleaving and error concealment are combined together effectively to get a graceful quality of reconstructed image without increased bandwidth and delay cost. At the sender side, in order to reduce the impact of packet losses on images and facilitate error concealment, the interleaving method based on holographic representation of the spatial orientation trees is used in the encoding of image. At the receiver side, the lost image blocks caused by packet losses are effectively reconstructed by content-based adaptive error concealment method. Experimental results show that the subjective visual quality of reconstructed image is acceptable.
