A Novel Cubic-Phase Linear Chirp for Time Delay and Doppler Stretch Estimation

摘要
A novel technique for estimation of time delay in the presence of Doppler scaling that takes advantage of a dual cubical phase chirp is proposed and investigated in this paper. Firstly, the proposed algorithm transforms the dual cubical phase chirp signal into the linear frequency modulated (LFM) chirp, then doppler scale is estimated using the optimum Fractional Fourier transform order and time delay is estimated based on the delay property of the fractional Fourier transform (FrFT). At last, simulations demonstrated the feasibility of such a new approach and its performance.
