Preparation and luminescent properties of Ba0.05Sr0.95MoO4: Tm3+ Dy3+ white-light phosphors

摘要
Tm3+ and Dy3+ co-doped BamSr1-mMoO4 polycrystals were synthesized by a low temperature combustion method. The X-ray diffraction patterns showed that the phosphors were mainly composed of the SrMoO4 phase. From scanning electron microscopy detection, the Ba0.05Sr0.84MoO4:0.05Tm(3+) 0.06Dy(3+) phosphor showed ellipsoid particles with an average diameter of approximately 0.5 mu m. When excited by proper ultraviolet light, the co-doped Ba0.05Sr0.95MoO4 samples showed a blue emission band located at 454 nm attributed to the D-1(2)-> F-3(4) transition of the Tm3+ ions and an yellow band located at 573 nm attributed to the F-4(9/2)-> H-6(1/2) transition of Dy3+ ions. White-light emission was achieved with 5 mol% Tm3+ and 6 mol% Dy3+ co-doped in the Ba0.05Sr0.84MoO4 crystal with chromaticity coordinates of x = 0.323 and y = 0.354, and a color temperature of Tc = 5910 K upon excited of 354 nm.
