摘要
In the framework of the Spanish project ESEOO (Establecimiento de un Sistema Espanol de Oceanografia Operacional), an ocean forecasting system has been set up. The goal is of this system is to produce forecasts of ocean variables that might help in an eventual emergency case in the sea. This system is strongly based on numerical modelling at different scales, reaching horizontal resolutions of less than I km. One of the main problems of this kind of systems is that high resolution models are computationally expensive and cannot be running operationally everywhere continously. To solve this problem, our approach has been to set up a relocatable model that can be quickly implemented wherever the emergency is declared with any spatial and temporal resolution. In this paper, the model is described and some results in two different contexts are shown.
