French-speaking scientific literature on palliative care: Bibliographic mapping

Palliative care is an area of research and of clinical issues affecting a wide range of medical and academic disciplines. This article aims to map journals in which French-speaking scientific literature relative to palliative care is published. Searches on two bibliographic data bases. PubMed and Palli@Doc, confirm the heterogeneity of scattering sources and show that some number of articles is published in non-specific journals on palliative care. These results outline the challenges for the publication and the dissemination of scientific literature, both in the national level with a facilitated access and in the international level with a thoughtful choice of journals in which to publish.
