摘要
A dual-band slot antenna for 5G sub-6 GHz band is introduced in this paper. The square slot antenna with co-planar waveguide (CPW) feed is excited at two different positions using two feed lines to achieve a dual-band frequency operation. Two-way microstrip power divider is integrated with the two feed lines to feed the CPW slot. Then, a microstrip line to CPW transformer is implemented to convert from microstrip feed line into CPW feed to feed the radiating square slot. The obtained measured results of the proposed antenna in terms of reflection coefficient are from 2.48 to 2.55 GHz and from 4.23 to 5.42 GHz with impedance bandwidth of 2.9% and 24.7%, respectively. It also has good radiation characteristics, measured antenna gain is 5 dB at 2.5 GHz and 5.5 dB at 4.5 GHz with high radiation efficiency over 93.5% at the required bands. The antenna is designed to work in the portable and handheld 5G wireless applications.
