摘要
Residual stress affects fatigue life. On the basis of a continuum damage mechanics model and the linear superposition principle of residual stress, a fatigue damage accumulation model has been developed. This model has considered of the effect residual stress on fatigue and is applied to study fatigue behavior of a centre-hole test specimen with residual stress wider the cyclic loading of constant amplitude. The fatigue test data of the specimen have been used to verify the model proposed in this paper, and the results show the predicted results of the proposed model are in better agreement with the experimental data than the local strain critical plane methods with inclusion of residual stress.
