Thermoplastic polyimide plus polymer liquid crystal molecular composites for the microelectronic devices

摘要
The thermophysical properties of thermoplastic polyimides (amorphous and semicrystalline TPIs) and their blends with a polymer liquid crystal (PLC) are evaluated. Relaxations below the glass transition temperature for both TPIs are characterized. Semicrystalline TPI cold crystallization temperature decreases with increasing PLC concentration but upon the formation of the island LC-rich this effect diminishes. The glass transition temperature (T-g = 230 degrees C) of the TPIs is not affected by the addition of PLC, All the blends exhibit degradation onset temperature over 520 degrees C. The expansivity and thermal conductivity of the blends varies as a function of the PLC concentration.
